Marty Wilkins has been a full-time Wasaga Beach resident since 2017 and a regular visitor for most of his life before that. He has deep connections in the community and enjoys all that living in the Southern Georgian Bay area has to offer.
He describes himself as a serial entrepreneur. In his early adult years, he developed and ran businesses including a renovation company, and a sporting goods store. For the last 30+ years, Marty has been the Owner/Partner and Chief Operating Officer at a very successful plastics manufacturing company in Brampton, Ontario.
Kastle Check was born when Marty discovered that many people in Wasaga Beach and surrounding communities do not have the full insurance coverage that they may assume they do when they go away on vacation or head south for the winter. This poses a genuine financial risk that the Kastle Check team has been created to mitigate.
In addition to his business interests, Marty is an avid motorcycle enthusiast, patron of live music and supporter of his local food banks (in both Brampton and now in Wasaga Beach) for over 20 years. He has managed to combine his dedication to all three by creating the (Wasaga Beach) Freakin Beacon Bike Night on Tuesday nights at The Beacon Restaurant. Running from May to September, all profits go to the Wasaga Beach Food Bank. In its augural year (2022) Bike Night has raised over $6,600.
Marty has 3 adult children and loves spending quality time with his grandson.
